Ms. Jenna DiSalvio
Ms. Jenna DiSalvio, Director of Orchestra
Jenna DiSalvio is a graduate of the Mason Gross School of the Arts, Rutgers University 2007 with a bachelor's in music education, concentration french horn. In 2015, Ms. DiSalvio completed her master's degree in wind band conducting from Rowan University, studying with Lt. John Pastin, Retired Dean of Fine and Performing Arts at Rowan. She is currently in her 14th year of teaching music. Prior to her arrival at Egg Harbor Township High School, Ms. DiSalvio began her career at Monroe Township High School as assistant band director for grades 7-12. There she assisted with the marching band and was the advisor to the Tri-M Music Honor Society. While teaching at Monroe Twp, she was an active member of the Central Jersey Music Educator Association as the high school string orchestra chair person. Ms. DiSalvio also became a member of the American Music Abroad staff which compiles different types of musical ensembles of high school musicians to travel throughout Europe during the summer months. After four years at Monroe Twp, Ms. DiSalvio departed for Westampton Middle School for five years before beginning her tenure here at EHTHS. There, she directed the wind ensemble, symphonic band, beginning band, jazz band, string orchestra, select chorus, concert chorus, and 5th grade chorus.
Here at EHTHS, Ms. DiSalvio directs the symphony orchestra, and the string orchestra. She is also the adviser to the Tri-M Music Honor Society. She teaches digital piano at the high school as well.
Ms. DiSalvio is also the orchestra director at Alder Avenue Middle School. She is also the New Jersey State Representative for the Women Band Directors Association as well as serving on the design team for their tri-annual publication of "The Woman Conductor".
